In order to master the energy transition, renewable energies and e-mobility must be considered together. Voltfang shows how this works with Bidirex GmbH. A holistic concept with a modern PV system, charging stations for electric cars and a high-performance battery storage system was implemented in a retail store parking lot.

Advantages for the PV and charging park
Implemented use case
With its battery storage system, Voltfang optimizes the power consumption of the charging stations by capping peak loads and drawing PV power. Bidirex relies on the intelligent solution to maximize the benefits of the photovoltaic systems, offer charging stations and reduce energy costs. Customers of the supermarket and charging park can benefit from 1,500 kW of charging power while they shop, regardless of the weather. While the charging park operator can generate further income from the charging processes, the battery storage project promotes electromobility throughout the Auggen region.
Aim of the project
Bidirex has combined the PV systems with the Voltfang battery storage system to maximize the benefits of the photovoltaic systems. This means that PV electricity generated on site can be stored and electric vehicles can be charged even when there is no sunlight. We are proud to be part of this flagship project. In close cooperation with our partner Bidirex GmbH and other strong partners, we have created an important hub for electromobility in the Auggen region.
Our customized solution
The Voltfang battery storage system integrates a PV system with 450 kWp generation. The capacity of the battery storage system is 360 kWh, which is installed in a 20-foot container. The system supplies 84 parking spaces and 22 charging points for electric vehicles.
