Tenant electricity in residential property
An apartment building from the 1960s becomes a showcase example of sustainable living. With a 21.5 kWp solar system, heat pump and Voltfang battery storage, it demonstrates how contemporary, self-sufficient and energy-efficient living can be designed.

Advantages for the apartment building
Implemented use cases
In this modernized property, self-consumption was optimized to increase energy efficiency. Our advanced energy management system ensured that the electricity generated by a 21.5 kWp photovoltaic system was used efficiently for the tenants’ own needs. This way, energy costs were reduced and a significant contribution was made to sustainability.
Aim of the project
In cooperation with our partner solarize, Voltfang is implementing a tenant electricity model that supplies the energy-efficient residential building, including the heat pump, with green electricity. The existing house grid connection is supported by a virtual totalizer.
Our customized solution
The battery storage system was delivered with a net capacity of 58 kWh and an output of 30 kW. The battery storage system is equipped with suitable inverters to ensure efficient electricity conversion.
