Implemented use case
The office building combines photovoltaics, battery storage, heat pumps, and e-mobility into a coordinated overall system. The focus is on two key applications: Firstly, the PV electricity generated during the day is stored and used later, which reduces grid consumption and increases energy efficiency. On the other hand, energy management is already designed to take dynamic electricity tariffs into account in the future and to respond automatically to price and load signals. This allows the building to charge during low-cost tariff periods and use electricity selectively during expensive periods. The combination of these two areas creates a flexible, economical, and robust energy supply for everyday office life.
Aim of the project
Sommer Baustatik wanted to improve the energy supply of the office building, use more self-generated electricity, and lay the foundation for dynamic electricity tariffs. At the same time, building technology should be designed in such a way that heat pumps and e-mobility can be optimally integrated.
Our customized solution
A 45 kWh battery storage system with 45 kW of power was installed, closely linking the PV system with the heat pump and charging infrastructure. Energy management distributes energy intelligently throughout the building, increases the use of the building’s own solar power, and creates the technical basis for dynamic tariff models. This makes the office building more efficient, flexible, and easier to plan economically.
