Implemented use case

The battery storage system forms the heart of the new energy system. It stores both PV and, in future, wind power and then provides the energy when it is needed for sand processing. The high storage capacity allows weather-related fluctuations in generation to be balanced out, ensuring that energy-intensive processes run smoothly at all times. This increases the proportion of self-generated electricity, reduces grid consumption, and creates a robust energy supply for the entire site.

Aim of the project

The goal was to make the business less dependent on the electricity market and to make full use of its own energy production. At the same time, the energy supply should be stabilized in order to ensure the demanding process operation. The storage expansion represents a decisive step toward long-term self-sufficiency and economic planning security.

Our customized solution

Voltfang adds an additional 6.34 MWh of capacity to the existing 1.26 MWh storage system. The seven Voltfang 2 systems installed are controlled by an intelligent energy management system and optimally integrate renewable energy sources. The system is scalable, enables high charging and discharging capacities, and forms the basis for virtually self-sufficient plant operation.
