Implemented use case

The farm wanted to better control the highly fluctuating energy costs and operate the large cold storage facilities more efficiently. The aim was to make optimum use of low electricity price phases, integrate more PV electricity, and strengthen the security of supply for the cooling systems.

Our customized solution

A 133 kWh battery storage system with 100 kW capacity was installed, which intelligently controls electricity consumption. The system stores PV or grid power depending on the tariff price and weather conditions and supplies the cooling systems with the cheapest available energy at all times. This makes the fruit farm more self-sufficient, economical, and secure in terms of supply.
